Antonio Berdondini
I joined my father and grandfather’s company, Berdondini Mobili, at a very early age, to make and sell furniture designed by the most important architects and designers of our time, for both individuals and companies.
Over the years, I have become more and more passionate about the production of furniture, discovering its various construction techniques, through numerous visits to the production facilities of the most innovative manufacturers in the sector.
In the year 2000, my desire to create a collection of prestigious furniture, inspired by my cabinetmaker grandfather’s production output in the 1930s and 1940s, came to a head.
Stimulated by an archive of historical furniture drawings of that period, I designed a collection of furniture that I called the AB1926 Berdondini Collection.
The strong points of the collection, which make it top-tier, and highly appreciated by people of culture:
- High quality, with high quality materials.
- Unparalleled, recognizable design.
- Historicity
- My company, AB 1926 Antonio Berdondini, still produces a limited and numbered series of these AB1926 BERDONDINI branded pieces of furniture.
- More detailed information on the collection can be found in the book “Antonio Berdondini ebanista in Faenza (“Antonio Berdondini - cabinetmaker in Faenza”), published by Alinea, written in Italian and English by the architect Ugo La Pietra, and on sale online and in the best bookstores specialized in art publications.
